The RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM has a wide zoom range that can cover a huge range of scenes with just one lens. It is suitable for motor sports, field sports and nature photography where you want to reduce the weight of the equipment you are carrying, and also for news shooting such as documentaries, newspapers and magazines.

Equipped with Image Stabilizer

Reduce the appearance of camera shake. The lens itself is equipped with 5 stop Image Stabilizer. The IS mode switch on the lens also enables you to select the best mode for your shooting needs: IS mode 1 for still subjects, IS mode 2 for panning and IS mode 3 for irregular movement.

High movie quality even when shooting handheld

In addition to the coordinated control of in-lens Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), you can also combine it with the Movie Digital IS. You can comfortably shoot steady scenes where blurring could easily occur such as unstable postures or whilst walking.

Beautifully express the blur effect

The use of UD lenses and optical design successfully suppresses colour aberration from blurring in the defocus region. Since the blurring in front and behind the focused area is natural, it is possible to create a three-dimensional expression.
